No lovin' for the oven
The stove that came with the house appears to be broken. It seems that someone screwed something up with the circuit board or something -- it thinks the door is locked for cleaning, which it isn't, and because it's a digital dial, it's not having it when it comes to turning on the oven. Going to try some things that were suggested on some sites, but some of them we attempted yesterday and it didn't cure it. The solution of replacing that part would cost more than half of a new one, so guess what we're probably going to do today? I just wish we'd have known before we had the rest of the appliances shipped over.
Contemplating: could be cheaper to rent truck, take couch and such over early, pick up oven on the way, instead of accruing delivery charges again
Also, I have about nine more days of taking horse pills and staying out of the sun. Have experience on 'what it feels like to be a vampire'. Yesterday morning was overcast, first time in a long time I can recall going out on a Saturday morning to run errands.
So, because of the oven thing, we postponed the sectional sofa, and are now contemplating a couple of recliners instead. Trouble is finding some that would match something already existing; the one we liked at one place last night is on back order indefinitely, as was the tv stand we thought we were going to pick up.
And our search for a puppy continues, though Mark was contemplating a 2yr shepherd/shar-pei mix. We may go take a look at that one tonight.
