Bit of Amusement
Whilst out finishing up Christmas shopping tonight (which, still isn't finished), I was tempted by the chocolate at the register. This tends to happen only about 5% - 10% of the time, mostly due to fact that my years spent behind a candy counter got me over that hurdle (yes, I was a candy lady at one point... talk about a sweet job, no pun in-- alright, alright I did intend it).
Anyhow, the dark chocolate mint truffles caught my eye, and after plucking three of them and adding them to the pile of stuff and chatting with the clerk, he carefully put everything else into the sack and then points to the chocolate and asks:
'Do you want me to put the Lindor balls into the bag, or would you like to hold them?'
Of course, midwestern accent, it sounds like 'Lindir' instead.
It was all I could do to keep from laughing.
