Whew!

So, Monday nights are my nights for doing audiofics or some other such nonsense. I got home at 6pm and the phone rang nearly right away. I was in the middle of surprising Mark by setting up a little tank for just the two apple snailies. So, kinda slimey, I grab the phone.

Me: Hey you

Mark: Hey, where are you?

Me: I'm--

Mark: Are you still at work?

Me: *in the proud accomplished i'm not overworking myself voice* No, I'm home already

Mark: Good can you-

Me: You want me to come eat dinner with you?

Mark: I want you to come pick me up

Me: Er... *thinks* uhm...

Mark: I'm just getting back from the hospital

Me: ...what?

Mark: I got hurt at work

Me: WHAT?!

Mark: I--

Me: Whoa, how? When? What happened? (and many other sentences starting with W words)

Turns out he cut himself and I won't go much into detail, but he needs the stitches taken out in a week to ten days and can't use his right hand until then. -_-

Suffice to say, I went and bought him a new snail playpen, and 'cool' black sand for it and a spiffy plant with a fake plastic frog on the rock base of it. Then, we went and got him a burger and custard. Currently, he's watching an Iron Maiden video. I'm just releaved that it turned out not as bad as the many bad possibilities running through my head. Still, he's an artist. And hurting your drawing/painting hand - not good. *sighs* just have to keep reminding myself, it could have been worse, but thank God it wasn't

AIEEEE. Hand & finger injuries give me the major heebee jeebees...piano player and all that... Yikes. Poor guy. (Is he a bebe when sick or injured?)

Zhie, I hope Mark's hand gets better soon! OMG!! Iron Maiden fans! Yay! I have been a fan since early 80's. I took my daughter to Ozzfest this last year just to see them. I have turned her into a Maidenhead! Get better, Mark and Up the Irons!!!
