Drawing up the battle plans for the Trilogy.

What trilogy, you ask? If you must ask such a silly thing, I just don't know why you're here...shoo, shoo, go on, hop away somewhere else...

Okay, so, both of you who are left...

Went with Mark and Monty to the theatre on Monday to scout it out. Sang 'Frodo Nine Fingers' tune a few too many times (and Tra La La Lally only once, that's reserved for these too huge hill things we have to drive down and then up...in our part of WI, it's totally flat, so the driving up and down thing was a very new experience when I first had to find the theatre (and was going much faster than I was supposed to be going) it was daytime and I'm looking forward thinking "that's a big hill" and didn't look immediately forward where it GOES DOWN and *Zoom* 60 mph at a 45 degree angle...heh heh). Okay, so getting there was fairly quiet, but on the way back...gah!

Firstly, an observation by Mark, not necessarily verbatim, but as close as I can get it to be:

M: When elves get to a certain age, they lose their interest in sex, right?

Z: Yeah, well, depends on how you read it. For all intents and purposes, we'll say yes for now so I don't go into boring detail over it.

M: Well, Legolas, he's probably pretty old then, he doesn't seem to have much interest in girls.

Z: You know what Maggie would say to that. Did I tell you about the Aragorn/Legolas shirt she wants to make?

M: No. So, if you watch Haldir-

Z: *Completely focused and interested on the discussion now*

M: -I think he's in love with Galadriel.

Z: *Completely confused, but still focused and interested in the discussion*

M: When he's doing his little speech, when they look at the trees, about the city and the lord and the lady...

Z: Caras Galadhon, heart of elvendom on middle earth, home of the lord Celeborn and Galadriel, the lady of light...or something like that.

M: Yeah, watch his face light up when he talks about Galadriel. Kind of like in awe like Gimli. She's got him under a spell or something.

Z: Whoa. I never thought of that. (Specially since I go more with movie stuff, but...) [Capt. Jack Impersonation, including the walk as we're going to the car] That's interesting...that's very interesting.

M: So Haldir's probably pretty young.

Z: So you're saying he'd do Galadriel?

Monty: *Just laughing insanely now*

[Getting into the car now]

(Assorted conversations dealing with the show, and where we're going to sit for the trilogy, etc. Somehow, things turn to Gimli, and Mark does a wonderful Gimli impersonation, so...)

[Again, I don't think I'm getting the exact words, so bear with me]

M as Gim: If only ah could've looked upon the lady once more...

Z: You're too funny.

M as Gim: ...ahnd seen her rosy red nipples....

Z: Whoa, Gimli, I'm trying to drive here!

Monty: *Still laughing*

M as Gim: Ah did not tell ya, Legolas, where I got the three hair from...

Z: Wait until I pull onto the road, you guys!

(Later, driving down 124th street)

Z: Alright Gimli, go ahead.

Monty: Say that other part again.

M: What part? (As Gim): Her rosy red nipples?

Monty: *Snorting and laughing*

Z: So, where did the hairs come from?

M as Gim: Three strands of golden hair, short and curly they were. Ah keep them in mah pocket.

Z: That is so going into a fan fic.

Monty: You should really write fanfiction, Mark. You should see some of the stuff, you'd be great at it.

M: No, no, I don't think so.

Z: No, really. I'd read your stuff. I know you can write.

Monty: Yeah, you should do it.

Z: (after long pause) Wonder if Celeborn knows where those hairs came from. (another pause) Wonder if he knows Haldir's probably boinking his wife.

And there you have it, a partial transcript of the evening's happenings. There was other funny stuff, too, but I was laughing too hard, causing my brain to be deprived of oxygen, and so was unable to remember much more. And, it was 1 a.m. That's just the way it goes.

Going to go try to help Monty now. She finished her Galadhrim uniform a day after Maggie and I sorta thought we were just going to can the idea of going in costume. It is the most awesome thing. So, we're back in costume again. (But, we're not going to be uncomfy...Galadhrim cloaks and tunics, but matching grey sweatpants. Comfy ones. We're silly, not stupid.) And, promised Mark a 'cloak/poncho thing like Legolas had at the Council of Elrond'. Hey, for the funny Gimli impersonation he did, I'll even throw in a bow of the Galadhrim and a few white feathered arrows at no extra charge.

That is all.
