tries not to squee and fails
May. 28th, 2005 03:25 amSo, we went out to this Toys R Us down around Brown Deer today to look for Star Wars stuff. And I browsed the LOTR stuff (which was all on clearance) and found some stuff of interest, like glowy Gladders and council Legolas... picked up all the hobbits for ten bucks (the set with Bilbo in it, too... hey, 2bucks an action figure, i'll never find them new that cheap ever, might as well get them now)
and saw something in the clearance section that caught my eye, something called Knights of the Zodiac... yah, corny name... but I took a closer look... tall, pretty guy with long black hair
Years ago, I picked up a bunch of figures for some sort of atlantis knock off and planned to customize them to have my little outcasts team for my Intermission stories (even had an extra snarf to use for Fuzz) but never got to it and now, shit, they're probably long gone by now
so, I pick up this poor little discount figure and I think 'sure, I'm thinking I'll do something, but, right, I won't
but then during the second half of our at-home star wars marathon, I recalled the extra material I had from my jedi robes (hey, I can hear you snickering, but I know deep down you wish you had jedi robes, too! hee hee) and grabbed that along with some of the wire-threaded ribbon stuff I had from the Haldir cape I made a couple years back (so, I like to play dress up when I go to movies... sue me... I'm what makes the late night news fun...) and... tada! My not-so-great, but okay-for-me very own Erestor action figure. ^_^
Hmmm... they have another one of these Knight guys with long blonde hair...
Tomorrow's mission: Find Swan Hyoga action figure, hee hee... er... hm... might be a girl, now that I look at this picture... hard to tell... but that's my mission, either way...
