It's been a week without Legolas

Shall I explain? He was the fishy here at work, the big betta fish that everyone in the entire place had a different name for. Pink and purple, too, and the tech guy used to make all kinds of jokes about that. Anyhow, he died last week, same day my grandmother died four years ago, so weird coincidence there.

I know, he's just a fish, right? But he actually had personality. And it amused me how he seemed to 'follow' me best as he could, depending on where i was, he'd be in the part of the tank where he could watch what i was doing. If I was doing paperwork right next to it, he'd kinda lounge half out of the little cave thing that he claimed as his and wouldn't let the other fish near. I got so used to coming in every day and there he would be, watching the door for me to come in, silly fish.

In other news, I went to read through the MPA stuff for this year in hopes that the other day I was just not making sense because of the headache that I had, but alas, I am more confused and even less excited by it now. Sad, huh? So, while I earlier in the year decided not to participate in the judging part of the Mithril Awards this year to save my time for the MPAs, I find myself really not liking how the MPAs have been restructured, and probably won't do anything with either.

On one hand, it means I should have no trouble at all finishing the secret santa stuff, the advent calendar, and screw yule, however, the awards stuff would have extended into the spring, so, what's a girl to do? ThunderWolf called the other night, he poked me about finishing Minuet again. I wonder if I still have that file somewhere... I'm so out of the TC stuff, but at the same time, it would be nice to finish that. [For those of you of the LOTR fandom, Minuet is to ThunderCats as Purple Plot Bunnies is to Lord of the Rings]

It's not like I don't have things I can do, but part of it is that everyone else is going to be wrapped up in the awards stuff, and between that and the RPGing, though I have projects in mind, I would need to form a committee of people, and it wouldn't be fair to try to make them stretch time between so many things (because, let's face it, it's the same names that come up for the same things quite often, am I right?)

So, I'm kinda hoping that DA does the GlorLovesTor fqf soon in the coming year... that was lots of fun. I enjoyed myself muchly. Also, I need nachos still. Sunday I wanted them, never got them, still want them, need them now. NACHOS. *pouts* There's no nachos here, but we do have a holiday par-tay later. I made gingerbread and cuppycakes.

The cheese is old and moldy. Someone tell me when the hat category is up and running for MPA, I have something I want to nominate.
