“You don’t mean that,” argued Glorfindel.
“I damn well do.”
Shaking his head, Glorfindel muttered, “Stupid, stubborn fool. It amazes me that the most brilliant elf in all of Arda can be the most pig-headed at times.”
Snorting with disdain, Erestor stumbled to get to his feet. “And it amazes me that the most brilliant elf in all of Arda ended up with such a... a... well, with you!” He stomped off in the direction of the cottage, leaving Glorfindel sitting in the snow.

I warn you, the ending is only slightly happy. In fact, there's some angst and just some fairly bad stuff in the end of it, including someone hurting a tree. Remember, we're in Valinor, so it's almost all elvesies... like I said, not the nicest story ever. Who was it that said I write good angst? Ah, well, they'll like the end of this one, I think. Nearly done. If all goes well, it will be finished tonight, or at the latest, tomorrow morning.
Took me bloody long enough.
