I don't write much about my coworkers because there's always that possibility that what I have to say might be taken the wrong way or something, and that people might get pissy if they were ever to find this and put two and two together.
One of my coworkers is leaving. Not one of my 'immediate' coworkers. One of the coworkers in a different department. But someone I got along with well, someone I talked with on occassion, and someone that I would make a point to say hi to when I saw her. Part of the problem is, she is in a department where most everyone else slacks off. Example, when I needed to have someone notorize something for me, I couldn't get any of the others to drag their butts up one flight of stairs and down the hall to do it. Had to wait for her to come back from lunch - which was okay by me, sorta, except, there were four of them sitting there being lazy.
Anyhow, she's been part time for a while (four years now, I found out) and she's had a hell of a time trying to go full time. Recently, I had helped her out with finding some resume books and things, and today she stopped up to tell me she was leaving. Leaving and... going to lunch? Nope, leaving. Today is her last day, and here, they make huge deals with parties when you leave, and she didn't want that, so she got her supervision to keep it quiet, and in two hours, she's out of here.
*sniffle sigh* gonna miss her.. honestly, I am really going to miss her, but I don't think she knew how much she helped keep some of the rest of us sane in this place.
