Zhie. It is because my former last name was Zielinski, and at the high school I was at, everyone called everyone else by their last name. (BIG sports high school.. basically, even if you sucked at sports, you ended up in a sport somehow). So, when I got there, the upperclassmen had problems saying Zielinski, and it didn't carry well down the hallways.
So, when I would walk in, it was often one heard a chorus of "Z!" ringing down the halls. I sat myself down one Saturday in my parent's dining room while my sisters were watching cartoons and I started to write different silent letter combinations. To that point, my nickname had been Jazz (My initials), and then from that point on, I became Zhie, because I liked how the HIE looked, and the letter H is one of my favorite letters.
In short, Zhie is the contraction of Zielinski. And Zielinski means, for all intents and purposes, Green. So, Zhie is just a little bit of green. Er, right.
The Dr. Zhie part came from the fact that for a while, friends of mine thought I was going to be a doctor, since I used to excel at science. Then, I took Chemistry and failed it, but I left the Dr. part around for a while for fun. And, because being a anthro cheetah in fandom is much more fun when you've got a medical degree.
What would you change your name to, if you were changing it?
Um, I actually did have a couple of other usernames that I had for a while. Cougrr probably was the most used; I even wrote stories under that name. Galade, Bubastis (though, Bubastis got dropped when friends and family started to say 'Bubi' instead.. just.. say it in your head, you'll get it..). Hmm.. I have a hobbit name too that I've used for gaming and other such things, but I think I'll keep that to myself.. And then among the most intimate of circles, there are those who call me Halli. ^_^ I've got a couple other pen names, too, not gonna say what they are because that's the way I keep the fanfiction and the real world seperate, but one is the name of a famous city and the other is the name of a goat. What? Oh, that wasn't the question...
Actually, Dark wrote me an email one night and had Glorfindel call me Pouncer. I kinda liked that one..
What is your favorite username? Why?
I always like the names my sisters come up with. Other Pervert (Maggie, aka Frick) and Little Moggle (Nenni aka Monty).
Now, tag five other unfortunates whose usernames you would like to hear about.

There is a folder on my flash drive. A folder entitled 'EasterEggs2006'.
There is now one file in this folder. One completed file. A ficlet with beginning, middle, end, and appropriate amount of elves.
Still, only one fic does not an Easter Egg hunt make.
But, it is a start.
