An old monday meme I finally went and did
May. 8th, 2006 10:33 am
1. List 5 sayings/slang/catch phrases you say a lot:
Booyaka! (also, boo-chicka-yaka or boo-frickin-yaka)
Don't shoot the paratroopers!
I have an answer. (usually in responce to anyone saying 'I have a question')
No, absolutely not, how dare you even ask. (sarcastically, in a bored voice, in answer to questions like 'can I use your bathroom' or 'do you have a pencil I can borrow')
Bother. (reserved for Monty *pokes Monty* bother... bother.. I like the part where he stops moving..)
2. Do you prefer to greet people with physical contact (handshake, hug), or just verbally (saying 'hello' or 'how are you')?
a good pouncing is nice
3. Do you have an accent? How would you describe your voice?
I've been told I have a 'midwestern' accent (thanks, Shark), which is basically, from what I can tell, a non-accent... but with the occasional addition of words like 'bubbler' and phrases like 'ain'a'so?'... but I have been known to speak in different ways at different times. It's hard to explain..
4. How do you usually answer the phone? If you have an answering machine or voicemail, what does your recording say?
Hey, what's up? on the cell when I know who is calling and Hello when on the regular phone.. at my parent's house when I answer there phone, it's always Hello, Zielinski residence.
My answering machine at home says "Greetings. Please leave a message. Thank you." Only, in Sindarin, so telemarketers don't try calling over and over. It used to be Mark doing Haldir's and Gimli's voicing and it would say 'The phone rang so loud I could hear it in the dark/ Now please leave your name and your message, thank you.' then there was a power outage and he wouldn't redo the message... *pouts*
on my cell phone it says something like 'Either I'm busy right now or I'm ignoring you. If it is the former, I will call you back shortly. If not, you'll know in six to eight hours that you are being ignored.' or something like that.. the car repair guys love that message
5. Do you prefer to talk to people online (email, instant messages, etc...) or verbally (phone or in-person)?
I hate email and I dislike telephone. I prefer instant message or in-person. However, there are a few people I do like talking to on the telephone, but normally, I prefer not to use it.
I was the 442nd person to take this week's Monday Meme!
