Nano : Day Five : 8833

Back on track! Made it out of the day ahead by about 500 words. Also, fleshing things out a little more and named a couple of countries. Played with rocks. Changed the donkey to a llama. Feel really good about that move.

Wrote many places today. Here, at home, both on the regular computer and on the laptop, and in the park, and at Bruce & Bonnie's and at my parent's house. Whew! I basically doubled my word count from the first four days in one day. If only I could keep up that momentum... well, we'll see. Tomorrow is the Monday night write in. Let's hope the muses stick around.

Poor Glorfindel... he can't decide which of my characters is hotter... he keeps wagging a finger at me and shaking his head (he's got a thing for pretty guys with dark hair, and that's about half the cast). And Erestor just likes the fact we have horse muses around again.

And now I am yawning and have yucky meetings in the morrow, so, I bid a good night to you all!

I'm not tagging anyone. I'm just doing this 'cause she knows where I live and has threatened to steal my kitties before...

1. I am tired. I was up early, due to another bizarre dream where basically, I have to save the world. This is the second 'save the world' dream; I have also had a 'zhie has to save Texas' dream. Last night's dream had to do with not just the world, though, it was like a universe thing. I was flying a starship. That fucking ruled. I gotta find someone who knows about dreams to interpret this stuff.

2. I flunked Chemistry. Love science, but I flunked chem. This sort of botched any chance I might have had to a path that would lead to me being a doctor or an astronaut or something.

3. I don't believe in Evolution. I suppose, also a reason I have such trouble with the science-types. Love science, don't understand how people can just accept a crack theory like the big bang and evolution.

4. I love a good blankie. Whether it's fluffy and I can snuggle into it, or soft and cozy, I love a good blanket. I sleep on top of a blanket not on top of a sheet, and I don't have a sheet over me, either. Quilts, comforters, fake fur throws, etc. Not a sheet person. (Sheets? We don't need no stinkin' sheets...)

5. Contrary to popular belief, neither goats nor bunnies, nor flamingos, are my favorite animals. I like cheetahs and elephants and unicorns and butterflies above the others, but since being linked to the others, I've just decided to adopt them. It's only been in the last three years that I have acquired many a stuffed rabbit, goat, and flamingo.

6. I used to be afraid of heights. Instead of continuing to freak out at the top of ladders, I asked for a loft bed when I turned twelve and I forced myself when I was hired at a hobby shop to use 'the big ladder' at every opportunity. I think the heights thing came from being pushed off the top bunk of a bed when wrestling with my brother and sister when I was younger, landing on my back, and getting the wind knocked out of me as well as a bruised back.
