Baby Snails!
Jan. 13th, 2007 12:25 pmAnyone remember me complaining right before Christmas that the purple snail at home had laid eggs and I was upset 'cause there was no male around and they'd be infertile?
Once again, the universe proves Zhie wrong.
Apparently, I bought myself an already knocked-up apple snail. I went in this morning to check something else in the drawing room, and noticed the eggs had slipped down slightly. Upon further examination, I noted... lil snails wandering all over the tank! ^_^
Now... the only thing about this is... apple snails get BIG, as gollum has proven. I shall need to adopt out quite a few lil snails, me thinks.
Maybe I'll just start an all-snail tank. ^_^
It'll be interesting to see what color they are when they get bigger.
