Today is Friday
Apr. 20th, 2007 08:32 amNot sure how this day is going to turn out.
Yesterday, before I left work, I discovered that there's a good chance I was entirely wrong again, regarding the fish. Poor Erestor was dead, sunk to the bottom. Checking with other aquarium keepers, it seems it was quite possible the little fellow was gorging himself on baby snails and that they continued to live and grow after he ate them. Not a pretty thought.
Erestor did have some battle wounds.. he and Elladan never got along well at all (neither did Elladan and Elrohir), but those had healed over and weren't infected. Still, could have been anything.
And now, Arwen's just swimming around, all alone. Well, with all the other fish, but she's the only angelfish left in the group.
Despite this sadness (Erestor was such a pretty fish, I hope I have some pictures of him), I was cheered up this morning by one of my co-workers. I think I mentioned at some point in general that on Fridays I will sometimes stay late and sometimes listen to Indian music while staying late. Anyhow, he came in this morning and sang a bit of a Hindi song to me. He had mentioned at some point before that when he taught econ, he would have the students sing at the beginning of class or else would teach them some poetry. When someone asked what it had to do with econ, he said, 'nothing, but this will help you more in life than economics will'. It was a very nice way to start my way too early friday morning, I must say. ^_^
