Ah, snow, er, ice days...
Dec. 11th, 2007 08:03 amNo classes, at least not this morning, though I wasn't supposed to go in until 1pm today.
Hoping they decide to keep things closed, though it will be havoc rescheduling all of the evening final exams. My mom called me at 6:30am to let me know what was going on, normally appreciated, but after just four hours of sleep, wish she could have waited an hour.
On the other hand, her waking me up meant I was able to call the daytime people and tell them all to go back to bed. Which was muchly appreciated.
And, no moving the car. Building manager decided that the snow is the only thing keeping the lots from turning into ice rinks, so he's waiting and playing it by ear, but no car moving for me this morning! (I move both of our cars, and then I go and do the cars of anyone who is half asleep in the building and doesn't want to go out... normally, I don't mind, but this morning, it's really cold and slippery from what I can tell of the kids playing in the yard.)
Was supposed to defend my budget today at 2pm. Going to check in around noon to see if that's cancelled, too. Expecting it is. Going to go sleep for a few more hours, and then see what sort of mischief I can cook up. Mostly in the form of fanfic. Like there's any surprise there.
