There were tidings of happiness in some places: The birth of Fingon’s son, Ereinion, was a blessing and joy even in the midst of near hopelessness. Doriath continued to prosper, though they remained cautious as ever to those from the outside. Only in Gondolin did the changing of the world go unnoticed, for it was that Gondolin remained unnoticed, though not entirely unknown, by the enemy.

NOTE: This might be the last part of book 2... in looking to the next few chapters, which are already written, I think they might seem to fit together best as a third book. Damn, I wrote a trilogy... curse you sixty second writing exercise!!
