longest. appointment. ever.

Well, actually, no, it wasn't *really* the longest, but I'm not fond of waiting for long periods of time in between things at the dentist. Total time there was two hours twenty minutes; I think I listened to Jai Ho about thirty times (well, the first three and a half minutes of it... kept going back to the beginning because the second half of the song isn't loud enough to over power the sound of dental drills).

It's really odd, but the less intensive work that needs to be done, the more it seems to actually be felt... he swore that these were the tiniest of the fillings, but damn, I don't know what happened at the end, but we were not in happyville.

Am noticing that the novacaine is practically worn off right now, which is less than two hours after the first shot of it... I think maybe he was worried from that time when I was so overly numb I couldn't feel my nose for six or eight hours. Must remember to check with him on that.

Very glad the way this is all turning out, though, with replacing really old fillings with the resin stuff. Downside: no chance of picking up radio stations in my head when we're finished (not that that was going on before... just, y'know, a negative to every situation).

Multitasked while there, though. Got to watch some People's Court, and the super awesome chair with its built in massage thingie nearly put me to sleep while I was waiting at one point. Hmm, numbness totally worn off now. Mouth still feels weird, though. Think I'll take a nap.

But the lead story was about people playing polo on bicycles...so Mark changed the channel so we could watch some real reporters on a Mary Tyler Moore rerun instead.
