wtf is 'kind of a' snowstorm?
Feb. 20th, 2010 11:15 pmIt either is or isn't.
It's like saying you're 'kind of a' meteorologist... you're either giving me a weather report, or you ain't.
I really should have picked up more than a quart of blueberry cheesecake custard. (btw, trivia, the answer to 'what is Zhie's favorite cheesecake?' would be blueberry cheesecake - for Glorfindel, it's strawberry, of course. I never established for Erestor, but he's not a huge chocolate fan so my assumption is it would be something with fruit... wonder what peach cheesecake tastes like? oh! peaches... there were peaches at the market today!)
Peaches, plums, and that sort of thing aren't always available in WI during the cold months, so you have to glomp them when and if they appear.
There now exists edible Easter grass. Of course, I had to get the blueberry and strawberry stuff.
Okay, so there's a Jimmy Johns commercial where the lady calls, she's in a towel, the bell rings, she gets the door, the driver hands her the order, and the towel of course falls down.
I want the commercial where the gender roles are reversed and the towel falls off the guy and the lady gives that 'me likely' look to the----
wait, wait, wait...
*ponders*
Nah, I want the one where... yeah, you know where I'm going with this...
FYI, anyone looking for a good read for Maedhros/Fingon with alluded Fingon/Finrod, heartofshun posted One Step Back on the silmarillion_fic yahoo group earlier today. I don't read much. Lately I read so little that I can manage to comment on everything I read. This one I read and enjoyed. (sorry, there's no *actual* sex, but does there have to be?)
Broke down and bought a betta to replace Ambarrussa today. New fishy is red except for a swipe of silver across his face. Probably going to name him Feanor. Also bought a pleco for work. Named him (or her) JuJuBee.
Follow-up from yesterday... I hid my cellphone when I got home. Well, tossed it under some stuff on the table where I can't hear it. After finding out about Steve, my parents called yesterday to inform me that they're making out wills, and what do I want them to leave me?
...
Went over today, partially to pick up something that I mentioned that they said I should just come and get now because they had it in storage and didn't need it anymore, and partially to make sure they really were okay. Now that everyone has moved out of the house, y'know, I worry about them a wee more than I used to. I know I don't say much about family stuff on here, just figure, who really needs to know about... well, there it is, I tried to write up some of what they deal with, but I just can't because I have this whole privacy complex or something. Anyhow. It's not like they're falling over, but seriously, my family has some of the most peculiar health issues in the small group of us that there is, I'm surprised no one ever approached us on doing a study on how we managed to stay around this long!
So if I seemed off yesterday, it was probably due to getting a call while driving home and being asked 'we don't expect anything to happen, but if it does, do you want daddy and i to leave you the Britannicas?'
FYI, the thing I picked up? http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=472
I still believe that Texas Instruments made the best computers in the whole world. I cut my programming teeth on that adorable 'portable' computer after lots of trial and error on the TI-94. This one has the remarkable 8-color monitor, which meant for years after it was annoying for me to see the orange or green and black screens. Now I'm off to waste time and see if it even still works... (oh, and by portable? this thing weighs like 50 lbs and nearly got dropped on the way to the car and again on the way in the house.. so I think I'll still be on Asfaloth for the majority of my computer usage ;) )
