Ordered two of the four discontinued Erasure Boxed Sets recently, and they arrived this week. It's been an adventure trying to get a hold of them -- first hurdle being, when your favorite band is from overseas, some shipping difficulty can end up happening. And then there were so many other things with them being discontinued, and still listed on various places... amazon, borders, etc etc... oy!
Anyhow, 2 and 4 are now mine. And, damn, while I am enjoying the B2MEM, and EdMo, I want to be channeling things from these songs I didn't know existed!
MJ! I know you don't read LJ much, but I should remember to tell you this next time I see you --- there is an Erasure song that would work PERFECT(ish) for your Watson/Holmes slash fic (specifically due to a line in the song that goes 'It's elementary, my dear Watson; Free me; Or the Baskervilles will hunt you down tonight; You're not the world's most handsome man, believe me; A thousand others like you stand in line; Oooo, you leave me restless; you leave me starblind...eh, that's more than a line, sorry... remind me to remind you...er, nm, I'll just remind myself...) But it's fabulous! I'm going to force you to listen to it! You've been warned... *shifty-eyed look*
Was Mark's birthday today - yay. We went to Southwoods, a restaurant that gets advertised a lot during Mark Behling and Rush Limbaugh. Nice place... basically, looks like a little house out in the woods. Then custard afterwards. Tomorrow, we're planning some arcade games and glow-in-the-dark mini-golf.
