"Legolas of Gondolin?" Legolas repeated the name I had mentioned with surprise. "I had not thought that there were many yet living who knew that name. But no, I am not he. He was of the Noldor, and left these shores two ages past. Whereas I am Sindar by birth, and old as I am, an age or more separates his passing from my being born to this world. Though I am honoured to share a name with him."
"That is rare, is it not?" I asked. "For two of the Eldar to share a common name?"
"So it can seem. But in fact we may each have several names, some known to all, others kept more close. And when you consider also that most of our Kindred reside now beyond the Sundering Seas, or wait in the Halls of Mandos, it is not in fact so very uncommon."
Mostly, in Mirkwood, to be honest.
Also? There's a character named Megilas.
