Quietest bunny of them all
Sep. 8th, 2011 02:22 pmI stumbled onto something today I had all but forgotten... my plans for last year's nanowrimo. Instead, I wrote 'Tusk', about Gilraen's time in Rivendell... but this had been my initial idea...

Synopsis: Quixotic
Through his parentage, Glorfindel claims himself as part of the Vanyar clan, fairest and noblest of the Elves of Arda. When he is called upon by his great-uncle to join his kinfolk in Taniquetil, he is apprehensive of what changes he will face as part of the Vanyarin court. The adaptation that Erestor faces is more social than political, though he, too, faces challenges in his unexpected new role as consort -- a role he was decidedly against ages earlier when suggested by his former lover.
In the midst of this political drama, Feanor makes an attempt to reunite his family-- though his plea is denied by Manwe to search for his second son, still stranded in Middle-earth. When he turns to Erestor for guidance and support, a painstaking quest to rescue Maglor without the knowledge of the Valar begins.

I realize now that I've actually pulled some minor elements from that idea into things I've done in-game with Bainith, however, I could still probably pull it off. I'm not sure, though, if I'd want to do that whole thing. I'm thinking it could be two stories split (and the second was a crazy idea that would involve England circa 1500s, so I'm thinking first part might be more doable). For 25,000 words. Yeah, Big Bang... thoughts?
