It's great because...

-historically, she really did her homework
-canonically, she fit this brilliantly into the Sherlock Holmes universe, addressing the death of Mary Watson (which was really, really just pushed aside - though, understandably, considering Watson is usually our narrator for much of the series)
-It's Alexcat, she's awesome
