I am with faithsdiary on confession... the only time I feel I would really need to go is for something very terrible and that is more for the humbling of myself to admit it to another...God will know my heart.
While I do leave out a 2 lines in the creed, I have been going back to church regularly now for several months (okay, it's only because the contemporary group I sing with was playing for the masses.) I try to go for my kids...when they grow up and learn about the other paths, then they can choose their own way. Many of my thought would get me kicked out of the church by traditional standards but Catholic is still what I am most (old habits die hard.)
Have faith about children. We were blessed with two and after my bout with postpartum depression and financial issues, we decided that we were done. About 5 years ago my hubby had a vasectomy (and yes, he went back to be tested and was firing blanks) A year ago this July 20th, I gave birth to our son...it seems we had our plan all figured out but, God and something else in mind. We humans are just along for the ride; God (or the Goddess if you prefer) drives the bus. BTW...I had Lou just before my 39th b-day...it seems it's never too late. Smiles ~G
