zhieDark Dreamer was kind enough to make me this *points* packing icon, so now the packing posts have their own pictureness to go with them.
Mark called around to find out best times/days to pick up boxes from kind grocery stores, as the K-mart he used to work for gave him the runaround about them. So, our weekly shopping trips will also include procuring boxes.
I managed to wrangle a few more up at work, but honestly, July, October, and January are our big procurement months, meaning we're nearly box free the rest of the year unless the mood strikes me to romp over to Half Price Books (which current budgetary situation does not permit).
Oh! I just remembered! My friend Bonnie knows great places to get boxes! Must consult with her on box issue...
I did price boxes as a last resort, but $13 for ten ain't happening. Not when one can get delicious, waxy, banana-scented ones down the street from the kindly grocer man.
I also got my packets for my summer coursework today, for the computer classes. I am, sadly, looking forward to them. It's been *counts* seven years since I was a student, and I guess I realized how much I actually missed assignments and deadlines and projects and homework and getting grades.
So, if this goes well, I could see this being the jump start needed to going back to get another masters or my doctorate. In what? Who knows... that's the trouble, really, lol.
Harley seems better now that I'm picking him up and carrying him around with me. And I'm restacking the boxes where the items were (so, boxes of books on bookshelves, that sort of thing), so that the same smells are in the same places, which I can only assume will help.
He did come into the bedroom earlier to 'talk' to the kitty in the mirror, which happens occasionally. Never sure what exactly leads to that, but he sort of slinks in to make sure no one's looking, sits down and then meows a bit before either slinking out or turning around for a brief moment of looking startled that melts into 'yeah, i knew you were there the whole time' which leads to slinking out of the room.
Oreo thinks mirrors are highly overrated, and does not care about the kitty in the silent dimension. In fact, she pretty much ignores all things in the silent dimension, and I think she rolls her eyes at those of us who stare into it.
French toast will be had tonight, and then, maybe some sausage. With syrup, while watching Venture Brothers. I so love Dr. O.
