This chapter is just as enchanting as the last one. The eagles were such fun and the way that you portrayed them as a family, "bring breakfast" and "don't wait up" since he's going out with the boys. And the little ones, one just yacking away and the other trying to get his two cents in, it was so charming.
Glory, I'm so glad that he got over his flight anxiety - at least a little. It makes me feel more comfortable about his upcoming fight to the death. I too was saddened when Erestor kissed Aranel. It should have been Glorfindel! Oh the angst, the angst! hee.
The whole council scene had me bursting out at intervals. I could just see them all and the looks on their faces. They were all like, duh. "you want to keep all animals and such out?" I thought they were joking, but when they weren't I almost fell off the sofa laughing.
The sad part for me was that I almost turned the page when my brain kicked in and I realized that I wasn't reading a book. I'm looking forward, as always, for the next chapter. :)
