I just read that story from a link on another LJ. It's shameful how callous some people can be.

This reminds me of another story I heard about United's awful customer service, about a country singer who traveled with them and saw the employees destroying his guitars out on the tarmac. He eventually made a video to shame them publicly after his complaints got nowhere. (Here's the link if you're curious: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YGc4zOqozo )

Anyway, things like this make you wonder what's the matter with people. You'd think whether it was "their job" or not, that common courtesy would compel them to help someone that was obviously struggling.

I read this over at "The Consumerist" yesterday morn, but wasn't as 'in-depth' and unfortunately not many commenter's were very sympathetic. Some were as callous as Dina the 'supervisor'.

I can't say I'm surprised though...
