I don't believe this is as farfetched as you think, Zhie. A lot of it would hinge on where this falls into the Bunniverse. If it occurs before Elrond has to take Erestor to task over how he treats Glorfindel, or as a rebellion to what the Sedrynerin say to him. It's obvious Erestor is exploring a part of himself he has long buried. Perhaps it falls somewhere in between, before he actually begins dancing in the forest? That would allow it not to be so ooc. I'm thinking he would show up in 'Cuivienen Mode' for Thranduil's gathering, if someone didn't intervene? Its an excellent opportunity for him to continue breaking from his former view of himself and as such, it's an excellent transition piece. I wouldn't add anything really, other than elaborating upon what dangerous ground he's treading by the statement he made to Haldir. Glorfindel would be crushed by such an attitude if this falls after their almost-split. If Elrond overheard what he said, then he has the perfect opportunity to remind Erestor of that fact and suggest an alternative. Oromë's woods are still out there, after all... Well! This certainly became rather long-winded! Hope it helps, though...I'd hate to see you scrap it. *hugs*
