Mark and I went to Dave&Busters's tonight -- belated sweetest day date. After we ate, we hit the 'midway'. (For those who haven't been there before, it's basically a big arcade, geared towards adults.)
Claw game has to be a family trait of some sort. I was picking off stuffed animals in the regular sized one at a pretty good pace... four stuffed animals and a bunch of tickets. Mark eventually managed to get a Packers bear.
So, from there we headed to this massive claw they have -- it's, like, ten feet by ten feet with an eighteen inch giant claw. Anyhow, we were trying to get this big stuffed cow, which I managed to get almost to the drop slot, and then it dropped halfway over it. By the time I had done that, we'd attracted a crowd behind us of a bunch of teenagers, and I wasn't really able to play being watched by that many people, so I bowed out.
One of the teens jumped onto it right after, and in two tries, the cow came out. So what does he do? Grabs the cow and runs over to me and holds it out. I told him, no, it was okay, he won it, but he held it out more insistently and said, 'no, this is for you'. Well, you can't say no twice, right? So, anyhow, I practically glomped the guy, and, I now haz a stuffed cow. ^_^
Of course I went on for a bit on the 'he was SO nice to have done that.. nobody does stuff like that...' and then Mark reminded me that about twenty minutes earlier, we had passed off a bunch of tickets to a little girl who played a game but had no tickets come out when they should have. So, it's all about passing it forward.
And stuffed cows.
