Sheesh, I've missed a lot!
Okay, so, I think I got all of one post out in January. And, I'm going to try to make it through the back log, but I'll be honest... unless I see you on a monthly basis or more in real life or you answer to the name Agie or are the Silm reading group, I haven't kept up on anything you're doing. I apologize. I still care about you, but I was
a. really sick for a while
b. buried in snow
c. addicted to LOTRO
d. all of the above
So I am going to try to summarize as quickly as possible as much as I can recall.
Snow: We haz got enuf kthnx. I have between four and seven feet at any given place in the yard. If DarkDreamer has a cheesewheel (which I'm sure she does by now) I have the whole fucking factory.
Sick: I was sick from Dec. 24 - Jan. 26. This illness only gets to take second place to the summer I had lyme disease.
Surgery: I had something gross removed. It was under my right arm. It was there for nearly half my life, but over the past few months had gone from about the size of a pea to sometimes gross and oozy and about the size of a grape. It's gone now. And it wasn't anything 'super scary oh noes worry', per whatever lovely testing was done. Just a skin tag gone horribly wild and crazy with practically its own ecosystem. This occurred about a week into my being sick and the whole recovery-ness of it (continuous oozy ickness and such) went on until after I was un-sick. But now... I can wear shirts with sleeves again (without pain under my arm - because the last year and some, it has hurt now and then).
Clothing: That meant I had to go get some new clothes. Including a dress for the rehearsal dinner.
Wedding: Is Saturday, and littlest bro will be married. Sister is coming in from KY, and it should be a good time. I might post pictures.
Dog: We're getting a god tomorrow. He's a dog we know -- actually, I've known him all his life, and I do mean from the moment he was born. He's the family dog, since he's starting to slow down a little (he's a 17 year old black lab) he's going to live here where there isn't another dog to steal his food, and he won't have to do steps. (Our house is two story, but he'll be downstairs --- but everyone else in the family has steps up to the porch, and we don't, so he can walk right out the door and on a nice little slope, just has to make it down the little half-step from the door to the walkway). He's amazing for a guy his age --- still happy and healthy, and we're looking forward to having him here. He's great with kitties, so no trouble there, and our cats have been around dogs when we lived in the apartment, so that's good, too.
Computer: Not really the computer, but the cooling pad of my laptop went kaput right around the time I got sick. So I've mostly been using Mark's computer. I did get a new cooling pad, but it's not the same as my old one, so :(
LOTRO: Lvl 36. Also, I'm playing two low characters on Firefoot that I've based off of Glorfindel and Erestor.
Egypt: The chanting of the protestors is so catchy on the news, that I just heard Mark in the kitchen. He then added he doesn't actually know if Mubarak has to go... but... anyhow... that's really all on that. Also, I like the Sphinx -- not just the physical one, but also the poem.
Packers: YAY!
Writing: Finished just over 15k on my slash swap story. Can't help but think it would have been better and longer if I hadn't been sick. I actually have two chapters I ran out of time to type up :( So... possible longer version later.
Have I missed anything super important in my absence? Everyone playing nice? *hands out cookies and/or elves*
