the thing that makes is so hard with newspapers, is most usually go to press early in the night. Then the bundles have to be taken out all over the area of each papers covereage, and to the carriers, in the machines etc.. My aunt worked for newspaper for long time. Bundles would be delivered to her house around 3:30 am. Then she had to deliver them to each of the carriers in town. These bundles came from the printers over an hour away. So, yeah, it makes it difficult with "late breaking news" right before press time.
So sad. Having been told they were alive and then told they weren't. That has to be the most horrible thing.
