1. This is awesome, because although this is a photo of way back in the day when Dretzkas, the department store 'on the street where I live' burned down later, and then they only rebuilt the first half of it. The other half, the part in the middle of the block, was turned into a Woolworths, but then later became the News and Hobby, where I had my first job ^_^

Dretzkas is an odd little place... the stuff is literally the same stuff that was shipped in in the 60s. Nothing new gets delivered there; they still sell spinning wheels. My mom went there once to pick up some toys that they donated for an event she was doing; they had actual kupie (sp?) dolls in the stuff they donated. It's just a freaky place, man.

2. This is the statue of our most beloved founder, Patrick Cudahy. Yes, like Jebediah Springfield, cept no one has whacked his head off, yet.

3. Okay it was down to this or the two bears. So, I just took 'em both.

I should explain; the bears showed up because the name Medved means bear, I think specifally black bear. (What do I know; I'm really a Zielinski, and that just means green... and it ain't easy bein' green..)
