Comment and I'll give you a letter. Then you come up with 10 words that begin with that letter, and explain what they mean to you.
My letter is ‘R’
Ten Minutes Later...
Dammit, this is harder than I thought...
Roscoe Roscoe was our beagle boy, a very old doggie that we got from the pound. My parents brought him home when they went to get a puppy, but since he was already trained and would otherwise likely not have ben adopted, he came home with us. We only had him a couple of years, as he went blind and deaf and then had really bad arthritis, but he was one of the best pets we ever had.
Reading Reading is just awesome. It's the key to so much. Reading rocks. ^_^
Roth Hee hee, my model, in my mind, for Glorfindel. There's just something about David Lee Roth swinging his sword around on stage and being a goof that reminds me of how Fin would be.
Radio The radio in the car is what keeps me sane for the hour long commute I have in the mornings. In the evening, I tend to be able to call someone on the cell phone to help keep my sanity *cough*Mark or Dark*cough*.
Rain I like the rain. I like the smell, I like the feel of it, I like to go out barefoot and just walk around and get soaked. I LOVE the thunderstorms.
Ress ^_^ Back in the day, every fic where Erestor had a nickname, the nicks were either Erey or some related form or Tor or something of that sort. Both of which were fine, but I needed something kinda special for him. And it just made sense, if it was going to be Glor-FIN-del, it should be E-RES-tor, but Res looks odd, so toss on another S and it was good to go.
Rex A tidy little word I just happen to like. Although king sounds grand, rex sounds somewhat more magnificent. I also tend to use the word more often than most people - Jubatus Rex, my screen name, the scientific name for a species that really wasn't; Oedipus Rex, one of my favorite tales and I oft bring up his name while I shop for shoes, 'cause us big-footed peoples have to hang together; and, being a smut writer, e-rex-tion. Okay, too much of a stretch? Yeah, I know...
Riddles I love a good riddle. Actually, Riddles in the Dark is what really caught my interest when I first started reading Tolkien.
Rumil Funny, but I don't automatically think of a Lothlorien marchwarden when this word comes up - my first thought is Monty, 'cause that's her super special nickname us sisters use.
Reyes Yeah, I'm TOTALLY running out of words here.. When I was four, I contracted Reyes Syndrome, because of which, various medical quirks can be blamed on. [Reyes basically develops when you give a child aspirin,m usually after a viral infection] Over half of those who get it end up dying from it. Of those who are left, most of them have some sort of after effects, from mild to extreme. I got off relatively easy all things considered, I'm no where near as bad off as most. In fact, you'd probably never know unless I told you, lol. To me, it's stuff I can 'hide' or 'control'; Darkdreamer actually the first person to notice that I shove my hands in my pockets or hold them a lot. Due to some of the 'neurological abnormalities ' as such effects are called, I have twitches and ticks and my hands are one of the areas where the muscles will just decide to have a mind of their own. Having Reyes is that thing for me that was one of those 'turning point times' for me, BUT.. my parents had been advised not to tell me until I was older, if at all. I didn't learn I had it until I was around twelve or so, when I got Lyme disease (yeah, I'm just a walking magnet for weird medical shit, let me tell you..) and then I was let in on it. But that summer when I was twelve, while I got to feel crappy and everyone else had a vacation, I read up on Reyes and found out how friggin' lucky I was. And since then, I've lived more 'in the moment' on things. So, in some ways, it was a terribly good thing to have happened.
Oy, okay, sheesh, someone should have stopped me... I'm going to do 'Z' in a little bit, but break's over so I must Run... hee hee..
