Alrighty then...
Earlier, I didn't reveal the identities of said fish in fishy heaven because I didn't have a chance to contact Dark at that point.
Sadly, Gwee passed away between 3:45 and 4:00 pm today... he was doing bad these last couple days (all he did was fertilize eggs, eat, move like a seahorse, and lay on his side on the bottom; but I couldn't get him out of there, he just kept running away). This afternoon, he just stayed on the bottom, scuttling off every time I tried to catch him. I went out for a walk by the pond, and as I was walking, a frog suddenly jumped across the pond. Don't know why, but I kinda knew he was gone then. Silly, eh? Just a little fish, but, y'know, me and my fishies.
Fandango passed away yesterday at 10am. He was swimming really slow, he'd rest, he'd swim, he's rest, he swam, sat down on the bottom, kinda sighed, and laid down, and that was it. (Fandango was the snow-white betta we saved from a Wal-mart; Mark had named him... he used to have a tankmate snail named Disco, but she died last year)
And on Monday was when I found the female Gourami.. um... well.. what was left; I'll say no more.
Tonight, I moved Andy (yeah, for Andy Bell... David Lee is at work, he was the replacement for Jim Morrison, who died in May when I was at that conference) to a tank in the office here. It's nice having a tank in here again. Also, I picked up three new variatus, all males, AND, when we got them home, we found a stowaway! A baby variatus in the bag ^_^ Mark named him 'Bonus'. I only named the one variatus - he's all silver, and he shall be Lindir.
ALSO... the reason for the tank in here... it's a split tank; used for betta mating... however...
poor Gwee, what a horny fish... the last thing he did before he died was fertilize a bunch of eggs... luckily, they weren't attached to a plant or something... just a little pebble on the bottom. I brought the pebble home, and it is in the other side of the tank; I am hoping we might get one more batch of Gwee-babies. Cross your fingers!!!
