David Lee Roth was the original lead singer for the group Van Halen (and the absolute best, awesomest of any Van Halen singer)

He would leap around on stage, sang his heart out, and was even known to dance about with swords

And for me, when I think of Glorfindel in my head, I think of a young David Lee Roth.
