Well then. The bookcase from the other room was just not able to hold the massiveness of the hubster's DnD collection. It has been brought to the kitchen, to join it's long lost companion ^_^
Okay, explaning quick for those who are unknowing of my, er, strange decorating style...
One day, I found the most perfect computer desk. Cherry colored, with lots of little shelves and storage cabinets and things, and raised platforms for the monitor and printer. Realizing there was really no place for it in the bedrooms or the living room, we looked to the kitchen, and the big dining room table we never used. The table is now downstairs in the storage unit, and my old desk got moved out here and became Marks' desk, and this is my desk now. So, my chair is right next to the counter of the bar (well, we converted a chest of drawers and a hutch into a mini bar, because that's just cool, y'know? complete with legolas and aragorn shot glasses), and about four feet from the fridge and stove, and six feet from the sink. Means, very convenient, and I burn things less often, heh.
Eventually, we moved one of the living room bookcases into here for me to put the tolkien stuff on. Now I have them both here, and I am working on emptying out the storage bins that were where the second one went. This is mostly photos, and also, a bunch of binders and notebooks and books and magazines and things all on one subject.
I found the print outs of Evening in Spring and Summer at Midnight. Notes for Autumn Dawn and Cold Winter's Day. Yes, it was supposed to be a series.
Glorfindel is in the living room getting acquainted with Panthro and Cheetara. Shh, no telling TW yet, just in case they decide things have gotten too weird for them. I'm sure Snarfer will show up eventually.
The bigger question is, is there enough room in this place for two sets of muses? And for two chief muses, at that. I get the feeling Panthro's trying to size up the elf to determine whether he could kick his ass or not. Glorfindel... is probably sizing up Panthro wondering if he can get into his pants or not. I have my fingers crossed that Gladders doesn't show up. Am invisioning Cheetara totally laughing her ass off and calling the mirror and glorified birdbath...
Gladders: I can see the future and the past and even the present with this mirror. *pours the water*
Cheetara: Mirror? Who needs a mirror? I have all that up here in my head. Granted, I get a little dizzy afterwards, but not so much these days. Also, I have mad energy skillz, and my mate could kick your husband's ass.
Zhie: Dammit, Panthro, no ass kicking!
Panthro: But it's what I do. *spins his 'chucks* If we're gonna do it, let's do it.
Zhie: Whoa! Put that down before someone loses an eye!
Glorfindel: Who wants cheesecake?
Zhie: Figures...
Cheetara: Cheesecake? What sort of cheesecake?
Glorfindel: *takes off the cover* Catnip cheesecake!
Zhie: Oh dear...
Well, break time is over, time to see what other treasures were hiding in these bins...
