(no subject)
Apr. 25th, 2006 09:43 amI am supposed to be reading something original on May 4th.
I have... nothing.
Those other poems just took dives, and I haven't been able to come up with anything else. This is so sad.
Maybe I will be reduced to a pornagraphic recitation...
Dammit, brain, be more creative..
Grr. Arg. Meh.
AND... last night I wanted some inspiration, so I was playing the Union Street CD and the bloody thing was skipping all over the fuck. So, I have to drive all the way up and return it. Dammit. And my luck, they won't have one in stock.
Ended up going for Riverdance then, but, as I'm about to pull it out of the case, I look at the next page of the binder and pause. I have a Sting CD? Where the hell did that come from... so, just out of some curious chance, I pull the thing out and toss it in, trying to recall why I have it. Randomly skipping through songs... ah, yes, this one, reminds me of Erestor, and... eh?
*rewind*
*snicker and snort*
Well, how very interesting. The song Dark played for me last week and told me reminds her of Glorfindel, is the track just before one that for me is an Erestor song. That is just.. too.. freaky, man.
And that is how I spent the last hour of my day, toggling between the two songs.
Still, no original inspiration.
Plot bunnies of a balrogish nature, yes.
Dark - the next song on the CD, imagine if you will, Erestor is having dreams right before the fall of Gondolin. You know, I've had that CD for a while, and the only songs on it I have ever listened to are #2 and #10. How bizarre.
American Idol is on tonight, and has reached a point where all the 'elves' are gone. Ah, well. At least I won't get ticked this year then with whomever wins. Hmm, wonder if the Bo Black CD would be at all inspirational for me...

Subject: VIRUS ALERT
Importance: High
There is a dangerous virus being passed electronically, orally and by hand. This virus is called Worm-Overload-Recreational-Killer (WORK). If you receive WORK from any of your colleagues, your boss or anyone else via any means DO NOT TOUCH IT. This virus will wipe out your private life completely. If you should come into contact with WORK put your jacket on and take two good friends to the nearest pub.
Purchase the antidote known as Work-Isolator-Neutralizer-Extractor (WINE). Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system.
You should forward this warning to 5 friends. If you do not have 5 friends, you have already been infected and WORK is controlling your life.
Update: After extensive testing it has been concluded that Best-Equivalent-Extractor-Remedy (BEER) may be substituted for WINE but may require a more generous application.
