I may have just wasted my weekend...
Jul. 22nd, 2007 06:19 pmI just finished reading HP7 about two hours ago.
I'm not going to go into detail on anything, since that would be mean to those still reading.
But to be put quite plainly, I am not amused and/or entertained.
The only thing the book has going for it is that Glorfindel really likes the cover color choices (not the dust jacket, really, just the green and gold covering). It will look pretty on the bookshelf. Past that, it doesn't have much to go on right now.
In other adventuring news, I would have finished much sooner, but had an adventure yesterday. On my way back from picking up Monty for our little HP read-a-thon, my car got a flat. I was first told three hours, then five hours, for a tow. Luckily, the AAA people called around and found a place about 35 miles away that could get there sooner. After tire was replaced, we proceded on our merry way, but it did cut about a four and a half hour chunk into our reading time. Blah. Blarg. Meh.
Okay, one little spoiler... the word 'goat' comes up about five times in the book. Sweeeeeeeeeet. So, nice color of cover, many mentions of goats. And that's it. That's all, folks.
I think... I think I'm going to go make a mess. Er, I mean, go bake a cake or something. Yeah. Something. Gah.
