Phooey

Last night, I couldn't find the antivirus stuff on my new computer, so tonight I called them to find out what folder to look in.

The phone conversation was me talking to the tech who was then shouting what I said to the other tech, who shouted back to her, and then she'd tell me what he said (didn't have the heart to tell her, just put me on speaker phone, I can hear him just fine like this). Anyhow, after many rounds of telephone, I was informed that if file named 'x' wasn't showing up, then the tech didn't really install the virus software.

I have to take it back Saturday so they can fix it, meaning, no playtime with the computer until then. *sniffles* They are going to refund me the cost of the install; I'd have taken it down tonight to have it done, except that with the Packer game, I didn't want to go running down there. Plus, I have to go interview people tomorrow. I am... looking forward to, and yet not looking forward to the interviews.

I should check the schedule for the buses... blah. Blarg. Meh. *insert random sounds of discontent* I am so not driving downtown on a Friday. Had I thought ahead on this, I'd have had them schedule the interviews on my campus. I wonder if I have enough fake power to get them to do that.. must consider that for next time..

Nah, it's better downtown. Then there's a whole office of people fetching interviewees and offering coffee and generally acting as if you're much more important than you are. I wonder if these people realize I tend to wear jeans and tennis shoes most days to work. I've always gone down to human resources wearing a suit... speaking of, I better check to see which shoes I'm going to wear... I think I actually have a grey pair that would match, come to think of it, because I don't really want to wear black ones...
