Driving Test Meme
Aug. 30th, 2010 08:53 pmI noticed a lot of people getting low scores on the driving test meme going around, so I went through and answered the questions, and I'm not going to go through the whole thing, but here's an example of one that's not correct on the test.
TEST SAYS:
About what percentage of collisions involve alcohol?
* 10%
* 15%
* 25%
* CORRECT ANSWER: 40%
About 40% of all collisions involve alcohol
EXCERPT FROM WI DMV MANUAL:
About 40% of the traffic crashes in which someone was killed involved alcohol.
So DO NOT feel bad if you get a low score on this exam. Firstly, each state has different traffic laws -- heck, Wisconsin's has a whole section on what to do if you hit a deer and who gets to keep it -- not likely found in the Hawaii manual! Secondly, there are some things on the test that are paraphrased or not well-written, making the questions not quite accurate. So, keep on truckin', folks (or driving or what have you...)
