Yes, I know, it's not cutted or anything... it's my second to last entry of the year, so I'm just leaving it as is.

I don't make new years' resolutions.. I believe in a constant improvement method, and don't have time with Screw Yule now anyhow, lol
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
A friend from high school (lil Gabbi) and two coworkers, one had twins; our variatus fishies (Gwee!)
4. Did anyone close to you die?
previously close - Mrs. S; and Mrs. Mae and lots of the poor fishies :( including Jim and Andy and Gwee
5. What countries did you visit?
Well.. does it count that I did travel collection development for all of Europe? No? Damn.
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
A house instead of an apartment
7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
September 6th.. when I officially gave up 'Rivendell' to come to 'New Gondolin'
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Helping to pull off the Dragoncon Tolkien Track in only three months; but also getting 50K written on my novel

Not finishing Unforgettable... yeah, I suppose it should be something 'bigger' than that, but there it is
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had a couple sniffles, nothing serious
11. What was the best thing you bought?
This isn't a thing I bought with my money, but a purchase made for the library -- the DVD collection to update the 20/30 year old VHS tapes and filmstrips
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My brother, for doing what he's doing in Kuwait, and for sticking around over there despite the fact the rest of his unit is already back and has been for months. I miss him, but I'm quite proud of him
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
A coworker, who shall not be named, but after supporting this person, to be lied to, it was very hurtful
14. Where did most of your money go?
That's a good question...
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
Andy Bell's Crazy and Queen's Crazy Little Thing Called Love -- the songs I used for the dragoncon fanfic forum intros
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? happier... 2005 sucked ass
ii. thinner or fatter? i've actually gained a bit, but that's due to all the hours of commuting, so now that time can be plugged back into the exercise category
iii. richer or poorer? richer, because i did get a raise, gas prices went down, and i don't drive 60 miles a day anymore... but all that money went into the wagon to fix it, lol
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
trekking through the parks, I usually do a lot of that, but I was so worn out most of the year from rivendell and then the move
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
driving... ten or more hours a week driving.. and that was just to and from work

I'm not a one-nighter.. much more in tune with the way the Elves are..
24. What was your favorite TV program?
The 4400, when I could catch it by Mom and Dad... and the Packer Extra show late night after SNL
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Hate is such a strong... ok, the twin terrors are pretty close on that, they're the whiniest, lamest pair I've ever had any sort of contact with, and to argue over things that are proven facts with me? (Not to mention, to accuse me of being a Zee-puppet, and then send me a message to warn me about her for dragoncon? wtf?)
26. What was the best book you read?
The ones sticking with me right now are 'Queer' and 'Blankets'. I'm sure there should be something more scholarly, but, oh well

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
V for Vendetta... which, I almost didn't go see...
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Y'know, I don't recall, on either question... *does math* Okay, I'm 27 I think (what? oh c'mon, like i'm the only one who forgets their age...) and I had just gotten back from Denver business trip, so I pretty much just crashed, I think
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
having adequate staff in Rivendell BEFORE I left, instead of the week AFTER, dammit
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
I'm not so much on the sweater vest kick now, more with light jackets (not suit jackets though... learned students don't approach me if I look too professional) and sweaters; and long-sleeved shirts in darker colors (2005 I had this pastel thing going on)
34. What kept you sane?

37. Who did you miss?
TJ
38. Who was the best new person you met?
I hate having to pick just one person, I met so many great new people this year... I think I'm going to have to go with the Kentuckians(?) on this though... having Nui up here was a blast *snuggles Nui* and the person we hired for the library from Kentucky has turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made as a director
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006:
If everyone tells you there's no chance in hell of doing something, do it anyway. The results can be surprising.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
And I did it my way; Sinatra
