Today was officially an edit day
I went to Borders with Monty and Bookmaven to edit
I came home and turned on the computer to edit
I researched how to kill a horse... made me kind of sad...
I opened the binder to edit
I read to Mark
We discussed talking, disembodied heads
My novel is so full of angst, even I am surprised
This month, officially, 13+ hours spent on edits; just over 25% to the 50 hour mark
The first four chapters are done as far as I am concerned; I have only read aloud the first three, and Mark found questionable things in each that were all fixed
When I finished last year, my nano count was 50,140. I expected by now, I would be up to 60K easily.
I'm at 50,389.
This edit crap is hard. I am cutting entire sentences out. It is slightly frustrating.
But Bookmaven is correct. I may not be adding quantity, but I am improving quality.
I am sure there are other important things happening that I should be archiving, but honestly, every time I go back to this novel, I get swallowed up into this world...
And I'm hoping that's a good thing
