Okay, so, here's the extra bit on the swap assignments that I mentioned to Dark and Nui...

After I posted that I had mine, and everyone started posting that they didn't have theirs, I started to wonder...

It was April Fool's Day...

I told Nui my suspicions, and as I typed away, she kept checking through her mail...

me: I'm at a page

Nui: still don't have mine

me: I've hit three pages

Nui: none yet

me: Woo, I made it over 2000 words

Nui: still nothing

Day two, still, practically no one else seemed to have theirs, and I had lunch with Dark. Told her what I thought was going on after she got a sneak peak at the fic to that point. Her response was to, multiple times through lunch, in a sing-song voice go 'you got punked, you got punked'.

Nui's I think was to giggle and laugh...

Heh.

However, it seems that suspicion was unfounded. Too bad... I was sort of hoping this was a joke assignment and that I'd get another one...

'kay, people have to remember that the official assignment date isn't even until the 9th! We're DAYS ahead of schedule. GO US! WOOT!

Yeah, uh, that was the point, okay? Nui was the one who reminded me that it was probably too early for it to have been the real assignment. Sheesh.

It wasn't that she was saying that hers was late, it was that mine was somewhat unusually early. Coupled with the fact it was April Fool's, it was a valid concern. Besides, I think this is the first year in the entire time I've spent online that I haven't gone and pranked someone or a group of someones online... being that I've managed to prank enough people, the suspicion was it was a possible payback.

*sighs*

I'm very, very up on what all of the dates are for all of the submitting things. None of my posts were intended as any sort of whatever it is that you think it is. (Why is it that I feel like the kid in the class being yelled at by the teacher because she was misunderstood?)

Aw, no, sorry. I just a knee-jerk reaction, I guess. In the past couple days, we've received a bunch of emails from people wondering why they haven't received their assignments yet. But of course, you couldn't know that, so I apologize. *hugs*

*snuggles* Sorry. I've had a crappy day. I know how the email thing goes. Don't have so many, but never fails, at least one person at the het swap will email me as I'm getting stuff out, thinking I intentionally forgot them or something, sometimes all freaking out, and it's like, dude! I can only email one person at a time, and the emails have to be double checked so everyone gets the right thing... so I understand.

That was exactly it. There must have been six of them, I swear.

Crappy day here, too. But it's almost bedtime, so we can go off to dreamland fantasizing about our Elves.
