Chocolate cake and football games

zhieI'm coming off my 'double anniversary' week. On the 12th was the very significant ten years being together mark, and during dinner at a nice little Italian restaurant we decided, things were going well, at least another ten years sounded like a good plan. On the 16th, it was our 7th wedding anniversary (which was spent watching football after I made breakfast, and generally being lazy around the house).
There is still an untouched homemade chocolate cake with lemon frosting sitting at home. I don't know quite how, but it's made it through the past 36 hours without so much as frosting swiped.
Busy work week ahead. Today, a shipment came into the library that I wasn't expecting, so there's a whole bunch of periodical bins to switch over. Tomorrow I have a council meeting; Wednesday is our pirate-themed coffee break. Thursday I'll be at the main campus all day -- meeting; planning session; another meeting, and on Friday I'm sure there is something but I am afraid to look at the calendar.
And to top it off, I get a message this morning, asking we consider opening 45 minutes early, so that people who forgot to print assignments they need for 7:30 classes can come in to print. Apparently, someone forgot that our main purpose is that we are the LIBRARY, not a computer lab.
Grr, snarl.
But to cheer me up greatly, Anieni and I are embarking upon a new fic together! I am muchly excited about it ^_^ I really missed writing with her. It's going to be a happy, fluffy, silly comedy, which I've also missed writing. Oh, and it's het.
And... there is a campus scavenger hunt going on right now... I happen to be the answer to one of the questions.. and here comes another one, guess my break is over...
