Plotting... where's Felagund?

Last night at the second council meeting (an unprecedented double council meeting day, plus I lectured in the morning.. Erestor'd be proud, lol), the council disbanded the committee to create a joint library. The city decided to go it alone, doesn't want our land, and doesn't want to shack up with... I mean, combine with us.

That's okay. I was much expecting that. When the only question they asked me the entire meeting was 'what's the current square footage', I realized they really weren't interested. Besides, the city library is moving on to round to, to plan a new library, which they desperately need.

Then the council decided to swipe our learning center plan and attach it into their plans. Oh, my boss is SO not going to be in a happy place this morning... and neither is the person whose plan that was. So I need to bring them some chocolate or something when I go tell them the outcome today.

Anyhow, I'm taking this much better than I expected... I suppose coming off of losing a staff member who has only been here about three months, having slim prospects for someone else, the 911 call, (btw, the student came back the next day to let us know he's ok now and thank us for calling for him and taking care of things until they got there).

Now... I may have been dreaming last night when I saw Hillary win Texas, so I'm going to interupt my heavenly morning silence with the 7am news. I know she won Ohio; I shouted like I was at a football game and the touchdown came a second before the game ended. My neighbors much think I'm a hoot. However, the coke&rum I had last night dulled everything after Ohio.

Where's Felagund hiding... I have plotting to do... if I'm not getting a new library, I'm going to have to start taking over the land surrounding the library...

I'm sorry you didn't get the outcomes you'd hoped for with your meetings. I am glad to hear the student is OK, however.

And ohman, I was jumping up and down excitedly last night, too. Rhode Island, Texas, and Ohio. Finally, my girl's got her comeback. I was worried yesterday afternoon, because on campus everyone was handing out Obama fliers and crap, and I was worried Akron may have been an Obama-camp. But obviously my fears were unfounded. It's not often I'm proud of my little Ohio, but I can hold my head high today. xD
