Elf Chat

On Friday nights, Zhie hosts an Elf Chat on the Yahoo Instant Messenger system. Only the downloaded version of Yahoo IM, not the Web version, will allow for the chat function.

Tonight's Elf Chat will begin at 9:30 pm CST. In order to join the chat, all you need to do is send a message to jubatus_rex after 9:00 pm CST tonight and you will get an invite to the chat once it's opened, or within a few minutes if it's already in progress.

Tonight's topic is... The Sons of Feanor: Friends or Foes?, but we're sure to deviate into all sorts of other things as per usual.

Elf Chat is *not* affiliated with any particular group or site, so all elf fans (genners, hetters, slashers, and hashers) are welcome.

It doesn't allow chatrooms? Well damn, I'm not going to update to the new version of that then... and it looked so cool too.

It is really cool.
But right now they don't support chat or photos or webcam.
I'm hoping after it's out of beta stage it'll have all that, because it's so pretty looking. :]

The chat rooms I might have been able to live with, but no photos or webcams... *shakes head* That's just evil. I'm so glad you said something about it.

Hey, maybe I will join in tonight...I think my little one's should all be in bed by then...although I know nothing about live chats.

That's not the worst of it... the worst is I'm referring to myself in the third person...

Actually, there were a lot of new people intersted and instead of my 'Elfchat tonight, yo.' posts, I figured I'd make one with more of an explanation.

It is kinda public servicey now that you mention it... feel like I should do an edit and add something like 'And remember, elves have low self esteem. The elves need YOU to attend elf chat to keep their egos inflated.' or some such nonsense at the end or something.
