For those who do enjoy furry things...

One of my favorites was Louie Furrywolf's artwork; it was through Louie that I discovered Furnation, so a shout out to his site...

I'm listed on the member's page section, but my site's not up there anymore -- once I got my own site I stopped updating there and when they went to the 2.0 I didn't transfer the old stuff. However, it's kinda nice that I'm still a little bit a part of that; Furnation was the second place I had a website, and the first place I was able to freely express myself (good old free page on our campus web when I was in college was just not ready for the sort of stories I was writing!)

Also, for further reading, the bimonthly comic Furrlough (https://radiocomixstore.com/) is one I've read for a while; the covers are always lovely. My favorite was a recent one -- #186, was a dragon knight kissing a unicorn maiden. Really need to see if they offer that as a poster print.

Most of those reading this are probably in the LOTR fandom, where furs are probably more likely found with those playing with hobbits than with elves. Regardless, there's always bound to be some with similar interests, even if those interests are the sort of thing most people aren't into.

Hey, got a question for you... since I'm pretty ignorant of the "furry" movement...

Survey says... yes. Though, some will argue 'no, it's a mythological creature'... but, I go with centaur=fur (anything that's a cross between a human and an animal, I'm game to call furry)

Very informative and interesting.

I admit to being pretty ignorant about the community, but was surprised at the negative comments towards it on the weepingcock site so I decided to do a little exploring.

When I ran across some artwork/fanfiction I was fascinated and again surprised at how large of a community furry-dom is.

No, but I am and you are, and the only kind of Fur she's had experience with so far is the dressing up in animal suits and cuddling.

Since she's close to 2 furs, she would like to get more information on various kinds of Fur, what is considered Fur, what isn't, and I am not involved enough within the community to supply her with that information with any kind of accuracy.

Well I deleated the post. and now been defriended by 6 people for just asking the question "Are these furrys" and then obviously frasing things in such a way that others have gottn offended when that was not my intention. I had been drawing human/animal and colect the art since I was little. I just wanted to know if it was considerd Fur. I hope I havent lost you to

you know it would take a lot to make me go away; you're stuck with me so :P

just get my fur rubbed the wrong way sometimes -- have to understand, I've heard people with some interesting kinks and fetishes say not the nicest things about furs (sometimes to my face); I get defensive quick because I'm used to it I guess

I'm sorry people unfriended you... that seems silly for them to do that over one post

As for the post itself, it hurt when people said some of the things they did that basically equated to 'sheesh, what weirdos' and it hurt that it certainly appeared that you were agreeing with them

whether you did or not, that's your opinion, and you're certainly allowed to think furries are icky if you want (or that certain aspects of fur culture are); I'm not going to stop being your friend over that

Well this was a perfect example of how I do not set up my sentences well. *Sigh* I couldnt figure out how to ask what I was asking damit to yeah, there were alot of "Uh" and "yeah" and shit in there. The "Odd" coments were MEANT as "Oddly facinating",(like it sayes on my profile http://mdarkdreamer.livejournal.com/profile) and by that, I mean the facination of say a Centaur...how does he do certain things couse his spine would be fused like a reg horses neck, otherwise his front legs would not work properly, so the mobility of his torso would be limited...I love shit like that. Half human half animal, Ive been colecting art like that since I was a kid and always looking them up in the lybrary and stuff...the concept of a half and half I find cool, probly more then sochaly acceptable. I have been trying to find decent art reflecting it...like these 3 pics...
