I don't need them as much as my realtor, who husband spoke with twice today. The first time, the realtor was at the hospital because his three-year-old son was sick, but still spent quite a while going over details with husband on the phone. He made it sound like it wasn't a big deal and his wife was going to stay home with their son tomorrow and we should call him back and firm up the meeting time.
The second time the realtor called to let husband know that we'd be meeting with his partner, but that he'd written up the contract already. Then he let us know that he'd be unreachable for a few days because his son died at the hospital, but that he would contact us next week and stay on this for us and not to worry.
Y'know, I really don't care about the house right now. I shouldn't say it that way, but sometimes, something that seems pretty important gets knocked down to outright trivial in comparison to other things. This realtor has been such a nice guy -- and not just because he's trying to sell us a house. You just know from talking with a person how they are. We knew more about this guy in the two minute first phone call then we could figure out about any of the other realtors we met with ((we did a try-out day last Saturday... saw a few houses with different people to try out the realtors at the different companies before picking one... this guy hands down was the best))
It's so sad that this happened. What seems to me even sadder is that we live in an age where the realtor, even in such a situation, feels he has to go and write up the contract and such -- I wish I'd had the chance to intercept and tell him, it's okay, we'll deal with house later, take care of family now, there are other houses out there, etc. I guess it's like, business should not take precedent over family is what I'm trying to get at, but it seems like more and more it gets pushed the other way.
Thank you very much to all for all of the prayers, vibes, pixie dust, cheers, hugs, etc. sent earliy... Mark and I muchly appreciate the encouragement, and I know they've especially helped me. However, I don't feel much like the one who needs help now.
I don't want to use names because of the private nature of this, but any extra prayers anyone has left should really be directed to Mr. W, his wife, and their little girl. This is the second child they've lost, and I just can't even imagine.
Thank you all. *hugs*
