Attention Business Type Peoples

If your commercial is annoying to the point I mute it, I probably will not partake in buying your goods or services.

Good job, Subway. Your annoying commercial has moved from mute to IgotstothrowsomethingattheTV. Your five dollar foot-long sandwiches shall not be purchased by me.

Which is sad, because you have a sub shop eight blocks away, and the next closest sub places are in the next city.

It will be worth it to spend the extra gas money to travel to a Cousins or a Quiznos if I get the urge to need a sub.

Subway. You phail at commercials. Get thee to a nunnery!

That is all.

Until next time (ooo, been a while since I did this), I shall remain,

Zhie, connoisseur of fine submarine sandwiches, but not of those advertised by douche bags who found American Idol rejects to sing off key in an attempt to sell their soggy stunted meals

ps -- Could have stuck with Jared, but no. Nice job, douche bags.

Yuck, subway (lower case s on purpose) really grosses me out. I'm happy to know that I'm not alone. :)

May

ps: Quizno's is really good but costly. I make my own. heh.

Quizno's is indeed yummy... and Cousins, pretty good. Subway, I was never particularly excited about, but they were close. But now, no. Crappy commercial sealed the deal on that.

Have never tried making my own toasted subs, but have done sliced bread with sub-ish toppings. May need to try homemade toasty subs, though...

LMAO!
I have a real problem with those darn commercials too.
I don't control the remote unfortunately... thank God for earplugs!

Incidentally, when I came to Wisconsin, Subway was new and I tried eating there twice... got sick both times... haven't been there since.

The best sub I ever had was either a)making it myself or b) Togo's in California... before they sold out and became the crap we got here a couple years ago... even Cousins has gotten crappy since they opened in the 70's... it's really sad. Now I can't get a really good one unless I make it myself.

Cousins indeed used to be better... but even now still outshine Subway.

There used to be a place in Milwaukee called 'Classic Subs'... THOSE were the best!

The commercial I hate the most is Glade. "And yes, it's Glade."

ARGH!

*chokes the lady*

[identity profile] zhie.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 01:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh! Yes, those are bad, too. Glade lady is also on the list.

But without the commercial, how will I know how much sub I can get for $5? Or how much a footlong will cost? I'd never know!

Plus, Subway = Save Chuck!

Well, the Godzilla commercial and all those at the beginning were okay-- I'll allow those into the marketing mainstream, but I'm referring specifically to the ones with the off-key singers montage that is just painful to not only watch, but to listen to, as well. *shudders*

[identity profile] buhdderkupp.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 01:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I rarely ever watch commercials (I'm never free to watch live tv lately), so I don't know that I know the one with the off-key singers
