End of week one

Finishing up the end of week one of this episode of 'this fairly new but looking like an old house in the basement house'. This week, we...

-removed the first four feet of drywall
-removed shag carpet and pad
-removed baseboard and edging around doorways
-removed insulation
-swept, vacuumed, rinsed with bleach, repeat on smaller of two rooms
-defeated many spiders and mosquitos
-have the pictures to prove it

Still need to go over today and move all of the stuff left behind into the garage, except really nasty stuff, which will go away. I'm pretty sure... oh!

-removed old yucky couch from hell
-cleaned futon frame

Plus lots of little things. Today, I'm hoping we can finish the basement in a couple of hours and then tidy up the rest of the house (which is in fairly good shape) so that when the appraiser comes tomorrow everything is in it's happy place.

Still addicted to Mafia Wars.
Started next chapter of Unforgettable.

I can't wait to see how it all looks, I bet it's totally different from how it was when I saw it. By the way they have really nice Futon peaces that you can get at hte store right up here. I was looking for a new one for my old frame and they had a few really thick ones that were only about 40 when I looked so you should really seriously safe that thing if they're leaving it for sure.

Oy! I do not envy you! At lease it sounds like it is coming around! I worked the entire 4th weekend...so I guess neither of us had fun then!
