Or, other things I'm allergic to
I'm allergic to some stuff. Not the typical cats or pollen, but things like penicillin, and aspirin (and also mold, but penicillin's a mold, too, I think... anyhow...) and a few other things, and now, add to list the antibiotic given to me to clear up last week's issue.
Which, the fever has been gone since almost immediately after taking the antibiotic. But the initial issue, still there. And now, I have spots.
For a cheetah-fur, this would normally not be a problem. But, the spots are pink, and range from small dots to inch round blotches. They itch a little on my feet and legs and arms... but they are fairly evenly distributed from head to toe. There's one on my nose. Not so attractive. Funny; yes. Attractive; no.
No, I'm not contagious, even though I look like I have mutant chickenpox or something. Just a reaction from the meds. I am now off the meds, have lotion for the rash, and am on benadryl, which I can only take while at home because one hour and I'm out. They can't prescribe something else for the infection until the rash clears up because they won't know if I'd be having a reaction to something new or if it would be leftover from the initial meds.
So there it is. Just can't do anything the easy way. Oh, and still instructions to keep out of sunlight until all of this is settled. Good thing there's rain coming, I can actually go outside then.

Date: 2009-08-07 05:32 pm (UTC)I had an allergic reaction once exactly like you've described except they were all over me including the palms of my hands and the soles of my feat, turned out the ginormous pills the dr had given me were at fault, I think they were Sulfa based as well.
I hope you feel better soon.
