apparently, thin lenses are too good for me

Following the visit to the dentist yesterday, we stopped by the optomotrist to find out why the new glasses are so weird... basically, they work great indoors, but not so good for driving (sunglasses are good, just the regular ones are being weird)

Well, it turns out, the thinner the glasses, the more chance of distortion -- add to that a messed up astigmatism like mine and my wacky eyeballs (I cut my right eye twice and my left eye once by the time I was six... terrible depth perception in those days), and thinner lenses aren't always better. So, this makes sense as to how my 'cheaper' thicker lenses worked way better than the more expensive back-up pair I had with the previous prescription.

Which means hitting the optical place tomorrow and hoping they still have their 2/$99 thing going on. Unless I'm lazy, in which case I won't get up there until next weekend...

But now... cookies. Because having Midwest Express cookies up in the air is good, but having them in bed is better. Cookie time...

It's coke-bottles for you, missy!

Just kidding. Don't mind me, I'll be over in the corner rocking back and forth, trying not to think about the horror of cutting one's eye.

*giggles* Yeah, I think I'll go pick me up a couple of Harry Potter specials...

I was a very clutzy child. Somehow I managed to do a number of horrible things and contract a couple of nasty illnesses, but made it through and miraculously never did anything so bad that I'd need stitches or a cast (despite breaking toes and my wrist).

Come to think of it *recalls multiple car accidents this year* after I go get those glasses, I'm thinking I might go so if I can find a place that sells large, heavily padded bubbles...
